Music to revise by
I have produced playlists which will help with your revision in two places:
YouTube
and Spotify. Here are some sample playlists:
You can use this music as a sort of passive revision - to listen to while doing something else, or you can use it in a more active way - try listening to 1 minute extracts 3 times and then writing what you can about the different Areas of Study. They are: rhythm and metre, harmony and tonality, texture and melody, timbre and dynamics and structure and form. Good luck!

Y11 work while I'm away
First of all, you need to carry on preparing for the Y11 concert - 2 group perfomances
Those of you doing the GCSE will also need to have completed 2 compositions from different areas of study. These are:
- Western Classical Music
- 20th Century Music (modernism, minimalism, musical theatre)
- Popular music
- World music (Scottish, Indian, African)
The BTEC examiner got in touch with me just before Christmas and wants to see work from one unit. I'll give you all the info on the first Tuesday back but here are the assignments you will need to do:
